  • Aery Aviation Is Selected For Installation Of Enhanced Vision System (EVS)

Aery Aviation LLC has been contracted to provide design, engineering, certification, and flight test services for the installation of Enhanced Vision Flight Systems in a Textron Model LC41-550FG aircraft. The FAA Form 8110-12 application will be for a multiple model FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and has been submitted to the New York Aircraft Certification Office (ACO) for review and approval.

The EVS equipment is currently being installed on the aircraft and will initially be operated and flight tested under an FAA Experimental Airworthiness certificate. Upon receiving the approved STC from the FAA, the aircraft will receive a Standard Airworthiness certificate and will operate in accordance with the operational requirements of 14 CFR Part 91.

Aery will utilize the Astronics Max-Viz brand EVS in the aircraft. These small, lightweight systems are deployed onto both commercial and general aviation aircraft. The Max-Viz Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) turns night into day and helps pilots see through smog, smoke, haze and light fog. Steve Walton, Aery’s Managing Director said, “We are thrilled to be a part of installing and certifying multiple EVS systems onto our donor aircraft as this latest technology enhancement will improve safety by a significant factor.”

Aery intends to market and sell the approved FAA STC kit including all parts and equipment for all model LC41-550FG aircraft in early 2019 at a competitive price and minimal installation downtime. Aery has partnered with Astronics Corporation to offer the system to approximately 1,000 aircraft owners and operators of this model aircraft, previously not available before Aery initiated this design and certification. The final STC will include Columbia 300, 350, 400 and Cessna TTX models.

  • Aery Aviation Is Awarded Seaport Next Generation Contract

Aery Aviation has been awarded a prime contract on the Navy SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort NxG) contract vehicle for professional services. The contract is nearly twenty years old, and pulls in $5 billion a year in task orders, and is the largest multiple award contract (MAC) issued by the Navy.

Aery plans to compete and win multiple million dollar task orders annually and will focus on supporting aerospace defense engineering task orders. Aery will successfully support these programs through its thirty-six experienced and specialized team members and subcontractors to provide the anticipated turnkey services.

The new SeaPort NxG boasts a new streamlined structure: the new vehicle has combined the geographical regions and has two separate work categories: engineering support services and program management support services.

The Navy relied heavily on the offeror’s past performance, including relevant DoN work experience, and the technical portion of the proposal. The contract also has provisions for small business set aside work in all categories (ie: veteran-owned, woman-owned, HUBZone, 8(a)). There will be a five-year base with a five-year option for the contract.
